ANYTHING ELSE My intention with Maul is to bring him to a place of balance between light and dark. He's probably never going to fully turn to the lightside but I do want him to find some kind of redemption and identity of his own. Learn to be a person; care for those he cares for while still respecting his pain, his anger, and his grief. Also, it's important to know that presently, Maul is unsurprisingly an unreliable narrator. Sometimes on purpose and sometimes because he believes it true when its not. His meta does reflect this. He is also very conflicted right now which might make him seem a bit more chaotic whether through actions or meta. He may feel and think one thing than think or feel the opposit only a few moments later.
IC PERMISSIONS
PHYSICAL AFFECTION please, he is incredibly touch starved but also he might cut your hand off... so approach it with caution, lmfao. Probably best to build a rapport first.
ROMANCE/SHIPPING Open to it but it will take time. He's got a lot of growth to do first. That said, I'm a bit slut for shipping so depending on how our characters click I'd probably be down.
VIOLENCE ALWAYS. Though lets talk just to make sure both parties feel like things are fair and fun!
INJURIES Yes, of course. Same as above on the talking point just so everyone is on the same page but I have no problems with it.
DEATH bitch keeps dying and keep coming back, come tf at him.
TELEPATHY AND MIND-READING sure, although Maul has a very strong mental fortitude and he is guarded and skilled at keeping people out so it might be difficult. Empathetic readings are different. He's a little (a little being keywork rn) more stable in Folkmore but its much easier to be able to interpret and understand and sense his emotions as he is a very emotional being who carries a lot of intensity with him.
CONTENT WARNINGS AND SENSITIVE SUBJECTS RELATED TO THE CHARACTER Maul has done all sorts of absolutely terrible things including torture and murder (children included). He has manipulated people, betrayed people, infiltrated their mind, sewn all kinds of chaos and established himself as both a warlord and a crime lord once upon a time. He has also been subject to extreme torture and grueling mental, physical, and emotional brainwashing, conditioning, and manipulation ever since he was a child. Topics of slavery, xenophobia, war, and death may come up. Maul comes with a lot of trauma and as I intend to push him toward a more grey space, he will be dealing with a lot of that trauma. Also since his death there is a piece of him that wants to stay dead.
CONTENT WARNINGS AND SENSITIVE SUBJECTS THIS CHARACTER WON'T BE INVOLVED IN none, honestly its so hard to phase us. He might not like some things but he'll be fine and I enjoy challenging him. If anything does come up I'll just send you a PM!
OPT OUT
Maul is not an easy character to get along with sometimes and he comes with a lot of heavy topics that some folx might be uninterested in playing against which is totally fine and understandable. While I do plan to push him toward a state that is somewhere between light and dark he is always going to sway more toward the dark side than the light and he will not be anywhere near perfect.
